Helsinki - August 14, 2006

Movial, the company providing the ease-of-use in IP communication, announced today that Telefonica is deploying its Connect clients for desktop and PocketPC devices. Telefonica will use the clients for Telefonica’s VoIP services, offering the best consistent converged IP communication experience to its customers across devices. The services are deployed over the Ericsson infrastructure, and are one of the first IMS deployments delivering VoIP services to the residential and SME markets.

Demonstrating Movial’s continuous success in providing converged IP communication clients, Telefonica will offer its subscribers a branded version of the Connect clients for VoIP and Video Telephony services. In addition, calls to and from PSTN as well as Video Calls to 3G mobile devices further enhance the converged user experience.

“We are pleased to see that an industry leader such as Telefonica has realized the benefit of our Connect clients, and are launching these across desktop and mobile devices”, says Victor Donselaar, Unit Manager, Movial. This is another recognition by a leading operator of the power of the user experience and rich services that our products provide across devices

The Movial Connect product family consists of an IMS application framework, and off-the-shelve client applications on the broadest range of PC, Mobile, and Consumer Electronics devices in the industry. A wide range of services can be deployed such as Presence, Instant Messaging, Group List Management, Multimedia Messaging, Push-to-Video, Music and Video Sharing, VoIP and Video Telephony. With SDK's and a unique user interface, Movial Connect clients offer seamless branded user experience of these services across devices.

Movial Connect PC and PocketPC clients are based on Global IP sound’s VoiceEngine, a comprehensive, packaged VoIP solution created specifically for PC and mobile applications.
